Disclosure: I’d like to thank GB for providing my family with a GB Evoq Travel System to test drive. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
When I was expecting my first child, I struggled while shopping for a travel system. I knew what features I wanted, I just had a hard time finding them all in one travel system. And the travel systems that had most of the features I wanted were outrageously priced. Now, years later, GB has solved this problem with their new GB Evoq Travel System.
The GB Evoq has everything that I ever wanted in a travel system. Absolutely everything. It’s sleek and modern, grows with your child, and comes complete with a very reasonable price tag.
I’ve actually been using the GB Evoq as my primary stroller since the early spring. Sure, I’ve tried other’s here or there, but this is the stroller that you’ll see me bringing to t-ball games, driving around the mall, and stashed in my car for its next use. This is my day to day stroller. It’s the stroller that I recommend to my pregnant friends. It’s the stroller that I stop to talk about with expecting moms as I’m running through Babies “R” Us while picking up a baby shower gift. Simply put, it’s my favorite. And let me tell you, it stops people in their tracks. Everyone wants to know what it is and where I got it, so I figured it’s about time I shared it here in my blog.
Backed by years of design, testing, and development, GB has incorporated the very best of the best into their GB Evoq Travel System. Right out of the box I noticed how easy it was to assemble and fell in love with the versatility. The removable seat allows you to either attach the Asana infant seat (included) for babies or the stroller seat for toddlers and older kids. Even better, the GB Evoq allows you to position the stroller seat forward facing or parent facing (rear facing). This provides comfort for both parent and child when it comes to smaller toddlers, while still allowing older kids to look out at the world around them. And changing the Evoq from forward facing to parent facing couldn’t be easier. Simply press the 2 buttons on either side of the stroller and lift upwards, then turn it around and placing it back on the wheel base. The process takes 1 minute, if that.
But being able to turn the seat is just the tip of the iceberg. The GB Evoq has a 3 stage recline, adjustable foot rest, easy fold levers, removable cup holder, and a handle bar grip that can accommodate a person of any height.
It folds for easy storage…just make sure you have the brake on or you’ll wonder what’s moving around in your trunk.
For sunny days, there’s an extendable, breathable sunshade, which is an absolute necessity for the hot summer days we have here in South Florida. I don’t think we’ve zipped it back to the standard length all summer.
And there’s nothing that the GB Evoq’s oversize storage basket can’t handle (although it is a bit difficult to access when the stroller seat is in the forward facing position).
For babies, the GB Asana car seat can accommodate up to 35 pounds and 32″ tall, and comes equipped with a FirmFit installation system so you know if it’s in your car properly.
But my very favorite part of the GB Evoq Travel System is the glide-on board. This is the feature that people seem to notice the most about this stroller, because every parent who has two kids has eventually had an older child who feels that they can walk…only to discover halfway through the outing that they can’t. The glide on board is the perfect option for older kids who need a break or smaller kids who want to get out of the stroller, but can walk a ton. My girls love this feature and actually fight over who gets to ride on the glide-on board…I only wish it were a bit bigger to fit them both!
This stroller has really proven itself in our house. It’s handled months of use and abuse with ease and goes absolutely everywhere with us. I just love that it will adjust to fit Everett as he grows…no matter where the season may take us!
