This post is part of a sponsored collaboration with Bloggin’ Mamas and the Florida Prepaid College Board as part of the Florida Prepaid Mama’Bassador Program. As always, all thoughts, opinions, and text are my own.
A few weeks ago I was over at a friend’s house when we began discussing sending kids off to college. For me, sending kids off to college is in the distant future, but for her, it’s imminent. Both of her twin girls will be headed off to college next year and it only took a few minutes for finances to come up. The longer we talked, the more she expressed concern over the cost of tuition, housing fees, books, and so many other things that her girls will need covered while they are in school. No matter what school they end up selecting – state school or private school – college is expensive. And it’s even more expensive when you’re budgeting for twins.
As we stood and talked in her kitchen I felt more confident than ever about our decision to enroll in Florida Prepaid College Plans.
Florida Prepaid offers five Prepaid Plans, each with specific costs and payment schedules, which will cover tuition and most fees at either one of 28 Florida Colleges or 12 State Universities (regardless of how high education costs may actually be when my kids head off to college). If my kids decide to go to school out of state, the amount covered by the plan can also be applied to other schools nationwide. There’s a plan for every budget, no matter what your child’s college plans may be. Florida Prepaid is more than a savings program, it’s peace of mind that you’ll be able to afford college for your kids and enjoy their senior year.
Which brings me to the best part – not only is it open enrollment season (use code Diary1718 to save $25 off the application fee), but right now Florida Prepaid has a huge contest going on.
