Minnie and Mickey are making a special appearance in South Florida this weekend, and for the first time ever they brought Lightening McQueen, Doc Hudson, and all the other Cars stars along for a racing good time in their new show Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment! Luckily, I was offered tickets to check out this show along with a VIP pre-party last week.
Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment features Disney favorites – Toy Story, Little Mermaid, Frozen, and Cars. Each one is spotlighted in a 20-30 minute story line feature, complete with your favorite characters and songs. Oh, the songs! Bop along with Woody and Jessie to “The Toys are Back in Town” as they land in Sunnyside Daycare, shimmy in your seat with Ariel and Sebastian to “Under the Sea”, sing along with Elsa to “Let it Go”, and prepare to be amazed as as real cars drive right onto the ice to “Route 66”.
This 2 hour show (plus intermission) is perfect for all ages. My older daughter loved seeing her favorite Frozen stars hit the ice and my younger daughter was thrilled to see Ariel. But I really wanted to see this show for my son. He’s sat through so many princess themed shows for his sisters that I just couldn’t wait for him to see his favorite Cars characters. And they didn’t disappoint.
They raced onto the ice, around the ice, and when it was all over, they raced right off. It was adorable and fun and, despite seeing several Disney on Ice shows in the past, something completely different. My son loved it and called for them to come back. If you have a child who loves Disney’s Cars, this is a can’t miss show!
Disney on Ice Words of Enchantment will be in Fort Lauderdale at the BB&T Center this weekend March 30-April 2 and then Miami at the American Airlines Arena from April 5-April 9. If you’re thinking about checking out this show, be sure to use the code DIARYDOI29 to get your tickets for $14 and a family 4 pack for just $56! Enjoy the show!
