You’ll Flip Over What You Can Save with Flipp

I’m a money saving mom.  I’m all about sales, coupons, loyalty cards – anything that I can do to save a little extra on our already large grocery bill.  The only thing I don’t like about saving is that it often takes a lot of time.  Time to write a list.  Time to match up coupons.  Time to load digital coupons and loyalty perks.  Let’s face it, that’s time I don’t have.  And because of it, I often suffer from savings burn out.  I figure it just takes too long to save money so I run into the grocery store to pick up what I need and end up saving nothing…and then our grocery bills skyrocket.

But what if all those things to help you save – sales, coupons, and loyalty card perks – were in one convenient spot?  Well, now they are.Flipp is an app that has all the weekly ads for the stores you shop in most, and matches up the coupons and loyalty savings for you!  And unlike my envelope with the handwritten list and coupons that I so often leave at home, Flipp keeps all that information safe and sound in your phone so it’s always with you.  With a little help from Flipp your family can easily save hundreds every year.

It’s easy to use too.  Simply download the free app and enter your zip code, and Flipp will then find all the weekly circulars for your area.  Select the circular you wish to view, circle items you wish to purchase, and look for yellow and blue dollar signs to save even more.  Yellow dollar signs indicate manufacturer coupons for you to print at home, and blue dollar signs indicate loyalty card savings that you can load to your loyalty card for use in store.

When you’ve selected all the items that you need for the week, you’ll have a list of all your clipped items for easy reference in the store.  For essential weekly items that may not be on sale – milk, produce, etc – you have the option of typing them into your list, and as an extra bonus, Flipp will actually look for another store where the item is on sale.  For example, while detergent wasn’t on sale at Winn Dixie this week, it was on sale at Dollar General…and Flipp found it for me!  I didn’t have to go searching, I just typed it in and Flipp let me know that Dollar General just a few miles away had it on sale.  It even let me know when the sale at Dollar General was going to end.  Pretty amazing, right?

But Flipp isn’t just for groceries.  Flipp had 71 circulars available in my area for all sorts of places like Staples, hhgregg, Advanced Auto Parts, Petsmart, Babies “R” Us, Lowe’s, Target, and many, many more.  Besides being a great resource for weekly grocery shopping, Flipp can help with just about anything on your list.

By this point you might be wondering how much you can really save with Flipp, so I took the Flipp Summer Challenge.  Armed with the Flipp app, I headed into my local grocery store prepared to save.  The results?  Pretty amazing…I saved over $78!I mostly shopped the ad and stuck to buy one, get one free items where possible.  This is my normal strategy, but Flipp made it so much easier because I could see the weekly ad on my phone and refer back to it as needed.  The kids even got in on the fun and loved finding an item clipped on my phone and then finding it on the shelf.
