Last weekend my mom and I were out Black Friday shopping when the topic of gifts came up. When I casually asked what she wanted for Christmas, she made it very clear that there was only one gift on her list this year – photos of her grand kids. And not just any photos, but a Shutterfly photo book full of photos that she can put on her coffee table for all to see when they come to visit her. You see, I made her a photo book years ago and it was one of her favorite gifts. Every year since receiving that book, she’s asked me for another one…but I normally get so swept up in the season and lose track of time so it just doesn’t happen. Until this year…because that photo book she wants? Well, little does she know, it’s already made:
And I’m so happy without it came out, I can’t help but share it here with you. Wrapped up in this beautiful hardcover book are years worth of memories to catch her up on all the photos that haven’t gone into photo books in years past. It’s nearly 50 pages, which is long for a photo book (the regular photo book comes with 20 pages), but I needed each and every page to preserve and gift memories just like these.
Making a photo book is easy – simply pick your photo book theme, upload and insert your photos, edit, and order! And with tons of Spanish language options this year on Shutterfly, there’s a book for every occasion and member of your family.
Due to it’s length, my book took a few hours to organize, but Shutterfly has a pre-made option that will actually insert the photos into your book for you. For people like me, a former scrapbooker who wants a little more control over their book, they have hundreds – maybe thousands – of idea pages to choose from (including Spanish language pages for quinceanera, vacaciones, and more). Each idea page containing small details that will make your book special and unique.
And the embellishments! Oh, the embellishments! So, so many ways to beautify your pages full of memories. Easily add quotes, frames, stickers and more.
When you’re finally done arranging your photos and you have everything perfectly placed…there’s still room for personalization on the back of your book. It’s the perfect place to place a special picture, a note to the recipient, or share a positive message for the future.
I won’t lie, I’m tempted to keep it. It does look awful good on my coffee table…
But knowing how much my mom is going to love this book makes me excited to give the photo book to her on Christmas Eve. Full of memories, photo books really are the perfect gift for someone who is normally so tough to shop for. I think this is going to be her favorite of all the photo books she’s ever received. And luckily, she doesn’t read my blog, so it will still be a surprise!
If there’s someone on your gift list this year that’s particularly hard to shop for, you can’t go wrong with a Shutterfly Photo Book! Learn more here: https://adfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/ck/17638-216122-60395-52?mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]
