As a kid, I loved baby dolls. In fact, if you go flipping through any of my old childhood photo albums, you’d be hard pressed to find a picture of me where I’m not clutching a baby doll. It would be fair to say that I never went anywhere without a doll in my arms.
So now that my kids love baby dolls, I can totally relate. I often find myself helping the kids brush their baby dolls’ hair, changing their clothes, and making sure they find their way into the little nursery that we’ve created in the play area at the end of the day…all the things that I did with my dolls as a kid. And even now, a mom of 3, I often find myself carrying around dolls that my children have become too distracted or too sleepy to carry.
While my kids may love dolls as much as I did (or more!) I can assure you that their dolls are much different than the dolls that I grew up with. Their favorite new doll? The VTech Baby Amaze Learn to Talk and Read, of course! 
And who could blame them? This doll does so many things that I wish my baby dolls way back then could do. It’s so interactive! Children can talk to their Baby Amaze doll to hear her repeat what is said, or read from one of the three included vocabulary books, which features more than 70 words. 
The more children speak, the more the doll will learn and repeat! Four activity buttons activate Talk with Me, Reading, Caring, and Music Time modes. The Baby Amaze also encourages nurturing role play by asking for her pacifier, bottle and more.
The interesting part is that each of my kids love this doll for a different reason. Greenleigh, my oldest, loves flipping through the books and reading to the Baby Amaze. She’s always looking to read books, but sometimes has a problem finding an audience. The Baby Amaze books help her working on her words and provide the perfect audience.
My middle daughter loves that the doll responds to what she says. She giggles when the Baby Amaze repeats after her or makes eating sounds when given a bottle.
And my youngest, isn’t quite sure about the reading part, but loves the nurturing role that it promotes. He loves giving Baby Amaze her pacifier.
