As I begin to prepare my Thanksgiving menu and arrange all the cooking and prep for the upcoming week, I’ve started to realize just how much time my kids have off next week. Between half days and full days off, my kids will be home more than they are at school next week, and some of my friends’s children are out all week. That’s a lot of hours to entertain kids…all while trying to cook a huge meal and entertain friends and family.
In somewhat of a preemptive strike, I decided to search for some fall themed activities to keep the kids busy this week, and found tons of fall sensory play ideas to share with you. Quiet activities, crafty activities, colorful activities, there are tons of fall activities for your kids work on while you scramble around the kitchen preparing your big meal. While mostly suited for toddlers and preschoolers, I’m sure that older kids will enjoy these too. I know mine will! Fall may be drawing to a close, but there’s still plenty of time for some fall fun!
