Dining at Disney World is always an adventure, and breakfast is no exception. While I’m often in such a hurry to get the kids out to the parks early (before the lines get too long and the temperature gets too hot), a Disney breakfast is the perfect way to fuel up for the day and prepare for an action packed day. Luckily, there are several great Disney breakfast spots and breakfasts to be had in all of the parks and resorts – it’s just a matter of knowing where they are.
These are some of the best Disney World breakfast spots that you should check out during your next stay at Walt Disney World.
Grand Floridian Cafe
Every meal at every dining option at the Grand Floridian Resort makes top dining lists with almost every travel review site, and the Cafe is no exception. The breakfasts at Grand Floridian are worth heading out for because they are unique dishes that give you a taste of the magic Disney. A lot of the traditional breakfast dishes, like pancakes and omelettes are given a Floridian twists, like citrus pancakes or lobster eggs benedict.
Tusker House
Located in Animal Kingdom, Tusker House is one of the few character breakfasts that can be arranged for at Disney World. This option is unique compared to the other character breakfasts because you get to enter Animal Kingdom before the park officially opens and take the whole safari day theme to a whole new level. Every breakfast is different, with different characters participating in safari gear, but it will always be a huge buffet meal with breakfast food to please every type of eater.
Kona Cafe
Kona Cafe, located in the Polynesian Resort, is often one of the most mentioned breakfasts at Disney World. Breakfast favorites are served up Hawaiian style with pineapple, banana and other fresh fruits. The Big Kahuna and Tonga Toast are two of the most popular choices on the menu at Kona Cafe and Disney’s special Kona coffee is served up hot. It’s also worth mentioning that Kona Cafe is one of the few spots that serves alcoholic beverages for breakfast, but the non-alcoholic beverages are also pretty incredible and unique, complementing all of the dishes on the menu.
Chef Mickey’s
If you can only do one character breakfast at Disney World and want it to be a truly, classic Disney experience, head over to Chef Mickey’s, located in the Contemporary Resort. Disney is the main character at this buffet meal, donning a chef’s hat and whipping up some breakfast magic for guests to enjoy before heading out into the parks. Many of the signature Disney breakfast items like Mickey Mouse shaped waffles and Minnie’s breakfast pizza which makes your Disney meal all the more special.
Cinderella’s Royal Table
This is my personal favorite. It’s tough to get a reservation, but if you can get in, it’s totally worth it and your kids won’t forget their visit. A castle dining room, roaming princesses, and delicious food (seriously, I was surprised how good it was!), this breakfast is a can’t miss. You can read more about our experience here.
