5 Reasons to Switch to T-Mobile Simply Prepaid™ & the Samsung Galaxy Avant

I’m a busy, working mom of 3, so I don’t have much time to think about my phone.  I need it to work when I have to make a call, snap an adorable picture of my kids, or update social media, but other than that I don’t think about my phone…until I get the bill each month.  I’m not sure how it happens, but the bill just seems to go up and up.  And that’s even after we called last year to cut some of our services.  Suddenly – on the day the bill arrives – all I seem to think about is my phone.  How can we reduce the bill?  How can we make something that’s necessary for our busy lives more affordable?

With my current contract expiring soon, my husband and I decided that it was time to explore prepaid phone options.  We’ve tried prepaid in the past, and were generally happy with it, but ultimately decided against it because our current phone plan offered us a good deal to stay with them and sign on for another contract…only for the bill to grow out of control once more.  So this year, we decided to be pro-active.  We researched phones, looked at plans, and tried to figure out which would work the best and save the most money.  When we heard heard that T-Mobile was introducing Simply Prepaid™, we knew we wanted to give it a try.  And because there’s no contract, we were able to do just that.  All it took was a quick run to Walmart to buy the Samsung Galaxy Avant (which was on rollback!).

Affordability – When buying a new phone, the price of the actual phone itself can be tough to swallow.  Lots of phones will run you several hundred dollars before you even start exploring service plans. The Samsung Galaxy Avant has to be one of the best values out there when it comes to phones.  At just $149, it’s a top tier phone at a fraction of the price.  In fact, when I compared it to my husband’s Galaxy S5 – which I can assure you we spent a lot more on – I couldn’t tell the difference.  The Samsung Galaxy Avant comes complete with a big, bright, colorful screen with a ton of apps already built in – maps, games, T-Mobile TV, and calendar, just to name a few.  Plus, you can always add your favorite apps from the store.  Simply put, the Avant is a top tier phone for a rock bottom price.

Speed – Let’s face it, prepaid plans tend to get a bad wrap when it comes to data capability and speed.  Spotty coverage and poor service have left people thinking that prepaid a prepaid plan can’t be a fast plan, but that’s simply not true.  And as a solution T-Mobile Simply Prepaid™ is a powerful 4G LTE connection which makes content streaming a dream.  In fact, if I’m perfectly honest, this phone is even faster than my current contract phone.  My kids can stream videos, I can answer their questions with a little help from Google, and it even helped me find a quick 30 minute recipe for dinner the other night.  

Now that’s what I call going above and beyond the call of duty!

The Camera – Although I was initially impressed by the phone, I wasn’t expecting much from the camera.  I. Was. So. Wrong.  The Avant camera comes with 6 modes (Auto, Beauty face, Panorama, Night, Sound & shot, and Sports) and the ability to take video.  You can add effects, adjust white balance, set the timer or download the photo editor to do even more. No Surprises – For just $40 dollars a month you get 4G LTE data with unlimited talk and text on a top notch phone.  I honestly don’t know how you could beat that deal.  Your bill isn’t going to creep up like my current contract does.  There won’t be a surprise waiting for you in your mailbox or on your credit report (they didn’t even take my social security number when I purchased the phone), it’s just a great phone at a great price.  And should you ever have problems with the phone or your service, T-Mobile has amazing customer service.
