Disclosure: I am a Denny’s Diners Blog Ambassador. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My mom has been in town for the last week or so. Everett’s big birthday party was on Sunday, so she arrived a few days before to help get ready for the party and decided to stay for a few days after. The girls have been soaking up the grandma time and I’ve enjoyed having an extra set of hands to help with meals, bedtime, and after school activities. Although it’s been a very busy week since she’s arrived, I knew that we’d make time to go to Denny’s sometime during the week. It’s our tradition, and one that I’m always pretty excited about.
So when we walked into Denny’s earlier this week, I had it all planned out. I knew exactly what I was going to order…until the hostess handed me this:
It’s the Denny’s Season’s Favorites menu. I’m not going to lie, I wait for this menu each year and enjoy every single minute of it. So there I was, totally conflicted. Do I get my usual? Or try one of the season’s favorites? My entire plan had changed, in a very good (and delicious) sort of way.
What makes the Season’s Favorites Menu so special? It’s all the great tastes of the holidays rolled up and served in one menu. The breakfast menu includes Pumpkin Coffee topped with caramel sauce, which pairs perfectly with the Gingerbread French Toast or the Pumpkin Pancakes Breakfast. And if you don’t see what you want, you can customize your own Holiday Slam by selecting 4 items (eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, Fit Fare items, etc) and then add Gingerbread French Toast or Pumpkin Pancakes for only $0.89 each!
For those that go crazy for turkey around this time of year, there’s the Hot Turkey Dipper sandwich, served with savory stuffing and gravy for dipping, or the Holiday Turkey & Dressing Dinner, which is served on a bed of savory stuffing with cranberry sauce, gravy, and 2 sides of your choice.
And if you love red velvet, there’s not only a Red Velvet Shake on the menu, but also Red Velvet Pancake Puppies! Did I mention that the pancake puppies have white chocolate chips in them? ‘Cause they do! Yum!No matter what you’re looking for – breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert – there’s a Denny’s season’s favorite for you!
I ended up getting the Pancake Breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon (feel free to drool over the picture above), and while it was all pretty delicious, the absolute best part being that little dollop of whipped topping. You see, that’s not just whipped cream, it’s pumpkin whipped cream…with a little sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top. It’s absolute heaven! And it was the perfect topping to those thick, dense, perfectly spiced pancakes. If you like pumpkin, these pancakes are a can’t miss.
Of course, the only downside to the Denny’s Season’s Favorites menu is that it’s for a very limited time. As much as I wish that this menu would stick around, it doesn’t. I’m going to need to hurry back to try those Red Velvet Pancake Puppies that I was too full to try after my Pancake Breakfast.
What item on the Denny’s Season’s Favorites menu would you want to try?
I would love to try the Red Velvet pancakes. They sound delicious. The only nearby Denny’s is in a sketchy neighborhood. I was accosted outside by aggressive peddlers my last visit..but those pancakes sound so good!
If there was a Denny’s near me–anywhere near me-I would definitely try those pumpkin puppies! Or the pumpkin pancakes–or anything pumpkin or all of them. I guess you have figured out I LOVE pumpkin by now.
I’m sorry, you made me lose track when I saw red velvet shakes! lol Yum!!
This red velvet shake looks amazing and I wish we had a Denny’s here or near here. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve tried the red velvet pancake puppies and they are sooooo good! I also love the pumpkin pancakes!
