With dance class over, I’ve been looking for creative ways to fill our Saturday mornings. I’ve considered signing the girls up for summer sessions of gymnastics or dance, but neither of those sessions start until later this month. So when my mom showed me a flyer from AC Moore craft store offering crafts for the little ones this past Saturday morning, I knew it would be perfect.
And it only got better when we arrived there – not only did they have a Father’s Day craft for the kids to do (for a whopping $1), they had 2 other crafts available for free. Have I told you how much I love FREE stuff for my kids? And there are few things my kids love more than arts & crafts. My kids would have camped out there all day if I’d let them.
Thank you to AC Moore for putting on such a wonderful event and keeping my kids busy this past Saturday. You really helped a mom out. I only wish you did this more often!
How do you keep your kids busy over the summer? Any free events for kids that I might be overlooking?
*Not a sponsored post – I promise, AC Moore has no idea who I am. I just really appreciate businesses putting on free kids events over the summer, that I thought everyone should know.
Oh those years of learning and rapid growing are so fleeting. My baby is 31 and I still can’t believe it.
My kids love to craft and I love that it helps them to think outside the box! Love the pic of her painting!
Too cute! Thanks for sharing
I wish I had that store in my area! All of the craft stores around here only host young adult and adult workshops. My boys do enjoy the Lowe’s and Home Depot workshops though…so much fun, and I love that they are free!
I’ll have to check out Home Depot (I don’t think we have a Lowe’s close by) – my girls would love that! Thanks for the suggestion!
Looks like they had a great time!
Thanks for linking up over at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama
I wish we had more free events here!! Looks like they had a blast 🙂
I always forget about the free workshops at AC Moore! My girls love making crafts and we’ll definitely be hitting these up over the summer. Check your local library too! Most of them have free summer reading/storytelling workshops for younger kiddos during the summer. =)
Oh, the library! Good one – thanks!
I’d just let her sleep in on Saturday mornings.

Love the pics! My boys love arts and crafts especially if they get to paint! I love the Free program our library offers. Also, my church has a free event at a small water park every week!

My kids are getting older and we don’t do as many crafts. But it looks like you had fun! And your camera!
Thanks for sharing!
