This past weekend, we ventured up to Atlanta to visit family and go to the UGA football game (Go Dawgs!). While we were in town a friend of mine suggested we go visit the Legoland Discovery Center. We had never been before, so we didn’t know what to expect, but it was tons of fun. On top of having more than 2 million lego blocks, the Discovery Center also has a playground, karaoke, a 3D movie theater, a model of Atlanta made out of legos (that takes up an entire room), and even 2 rides! And I never even made it to the area where they told you how legos are made…we were just having too much fun!
Nevermind that band-aid on her forehead…she was fine, she just likes band-aids. We have a lot of “owies” in our house lately.
If you’re planning to visit a Legoland Discovery Center, I would strongly recommend doing 2 things. First, purchase your tickets online. You will save a ton of money. And if you purchase tickets good for after 4pm, you’ll save even more. Legoland Discovery can totally be done in the 3 hours from 4pm to 7pm (when they close), and the price is half of a regular price ticket. And you get to wear your kids out right before bed. Second, make sure you bring socks. There’s a climbing area that requires it, and I kept thinking, “What if they were wearing sandals today?”. Thank goodness they weren’t.
Considering we didn’t get to see everything – we will definitely be back!
I’d like to go to Legoland, my little man is 5, is he too big, or still the right age? I’d love your opinion.
The pics are great!
Thanks! Actually, I think he would be the perfect age. If you ask me, it’s really geared towards kids from 3-6 (although my little one loved it too). It’s just a matter of if there is one close to you…they only have them in certain cities.
Oh my goodness that looks like sooooo much fun!
We’ve never visited a Lego Discovery Center before, looks like such fun!
It’s also really cute that your daughter wanted a band aid on her forehead lol.
Happy WW!
