I struggle when it comes to packing for a trip, but toiletries are a particular problem. There’s just so much to bring, even for a short trip, and I always seem to leave something behind – shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, you name it, I’ve forgotten it. And although everything can be replaced, it can often be hard to find my favorite brand in the drug store when I get to our vacation destination. I then end up using the hotel toiletries, which are, shall we say – hit or miss. There are a few pictures I just won’t show you from some of our trips because my hair and skin look less than awesome. If only I had remembered my toiletries when I was packing!
But there is an answer to this problem. The ToiletTree toiletry bag makes traveling easier than ever. The bag has two zippered compartments: one on the top, one on the bottom. The bottom compartment holds 3 TSA approved travel bottles, a collapsible cup with pill holder, and a toothbrush case, while the top compartment allows plenty of room for storing all those necessities you will need for your trip. The interior is waterproof, so in the event of an accidental spill, it will stay far away from the rest of your luggage and won’t ruin the bag itself.
While I originally intended to keep this bag for myself and use it as a makeup bag, Erajh’s toiletry bag was in pretty bad shape before we left for New York last week, so I decided that he should be the one to use it. When I asked him what he thought about the bag after we returned, he said 2 things – it was roomy and organized. The compartment on the top had tons of room to hold all the items that he wanted to bring with him, including a full size container of contact solution. The bottom compartment was organized and allowed him to keep his shampoo, toothbrush, and toothpaste separate from everything else. He knew exactly where everything was when he needed it. And since the outside is soft, it enabled him to put it in his suitcase and it would collapse a bit to allow room for other items. I liked that the containers in the bottom reminded us to pack the necessities. It’s hard to forget your shampoo when there’s a container labeled “Shampoo” in the bottom of your toiletry bag. This bag made our trip so much easier and it will definitely be coming on trips with us in the future. I may even borrow it once or twice…
