…we had a fabulous day. Now that I think about it, the days since then have been pretty fabulous too. Since I didn’t start this blog until after the birth of our second child, I wanted to share too many a few pictures from our wedding day. Please excuse this momentary detour down memory lane, but I just can’t help myself. We had a daytime church wedding with a reception at a hotel in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. In the Bride’s Room, waiting for the ceremony to start. It was fun watching the church fill up.
Meanwhile, the boys took pictures.Just about to go down the aisle. My uncle escorted me…2 minutes before our scheduled time of 2pm. Probably the first time I’ve ever been early. Seriously. This was where the priest decided to surprise us by singing us a song. He invited us to join in. We declined. It was probably the longest Catholic ceremony ever. Sit, stand, kneel, repeat.
All done – we’re going to Disneyland! Okay not really, but it seemed like the right thing to say.Pictures in the park. Funny story, there was actually a Latin festival going on in the park at the time we were supposed to take pictures. We walked through the park and they cheered for us. I was mortified by my oversight, but looking back it was kinda cool. And they cleared out this area so we could take pictures.
Then it was off to the reception. I wish we could have mingled during cocktail hour.
Want to know how to keep a dance floor full? Full bar. We went over $1000.00 over our allotted alcohol budget, but everyone had a great time. And just as quickly as the day came, it was over. It was stressful, but so incredibly worth it.

Lovely wedding! It is so amazing how FAST they go by. I remember barely getting to see all of our guests. So worth it all, though!! Happy anniversary!
Thank you! It doesn’t seem like 6 years ago.
