I was so tired on Sunday night, I never even got to post pictures from our busy weekend. My kids have a much more demanding social schedule than I do!
Saturday we had a Mommy & Me arts and crafts meetup in the park. Greenleigh dove right in, but the result ended up being art that only a mother could love. She took her stamping very seriouslyAnd was very proud of her work.Baby sister looked on. As long as I keep her snack tray full, she will hang out in the stroller all day (unlike Greenleigh who was born with ants in her pants). When I took this picture I almost had to remind myself that it isn’t fall. Look at those leaves! That’s as Fall as it gets in South Florida. Then it was off to get a haircut. And yes, it does take a lollipop, a movie, and a cool looking race car seat to get Greenleigh to stay still for 10 minutes. No haircut for Hazeline. My poor little girl is a little lacking in the hair department. Soon, Hazie, soon.On Sunday, we hung out at the gym and had a ball. And then we went to a fabulous birthday party hosted by some good friends. They had a train that Greenleigh loved. She pretty much stayed on the train the entire party. This was Hazeline’s response when I said she couldn’t have cake. When it was time for goodie bags, Greenleigh took hers and went to sit by herself. I suppose she was concerned that I might take some of her candy…not sure why, because, um, that’s never happened before. Okay, maybe it has – Don’t judge me!And then it was back home to watch the Super Bowl, which was when Greenleigh learned the hard way that we do not watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Dora the Explorer on Super Bowl Sunday. She was pretty sure her life was over. I can’t wait for the teenage years!
So that was it for us, what fun things did you do last weekend?
Sounds like a busy and fun weekend! Great pictures!! I love the one where the baby does not look at all happy with you, what a mean mom!! Lol!! My kids always loved the bouncy places too, they are fun!! Great to find you on voiceBoks, I’m now happily following and l look forward to reading more from you!!
Loved the pictures and the rundown, brought back memories of shuttling Rachel all over town and finding fun ways to keep her active. Yup, teenage years await you… same amount of shuttling until they just want your CAR!
Hi there! I just hopped over from the Mingle with Us blog hop and I am sure glad I did! Your girls are adorable and your writing is fantastically! I cant wait to see what is up next for you ladies 🙂
I arrived at your blog via the Thirsty Thursdays, and it’s a good thing I had already gone to the store because the picture scrolling by was peppermint cupcakes. YUM!
I love little Hazeline’s face in the no cake picture. Priceless! You have sweet kiddo’s!
Yes, but when they hit the teenage years they think their life is over if, after spending a half hour in front of the mirror and then missing the bus, they still believe that their hair doesn’t look good! And of course as you’re driving them to school, because they missed the bus, you long for the toddler years!!
Looks like a very fun weekend!! Ours was very peaceful, which is just the way I like it. We run all week long, so I really look forward to quiet weekends. Loving that I-can’t-have-cake-face!
Thanks for linking up with the WW hop!
Awwwww…. what great pics! I especially love the one of the little one at the birthday party!
