From the moment I received this Tickle Toes hooded towel and washcloth set, I was in love. You see, when Greenleigh was born two and a half years ago (seriously, where is the time going?) we got tons of hooded towels. We used them and loved them, until she hit 7-10 months old and…um…started to outgrow them. True, Greenleigh was consistently in the 90-95 percentiles for height and weight until she was a year old, but really? Should you really outgrow a towel at 7-10 months? I then went on the mad search for new hooded towels, only to find that they were either way too big or way too small. What I really wanted was a towel that was going to grow with her.
Enter Tickletoes, the answer to my problems. It’s the perfect size for both my girls. For Hazeline, it gives plenty of extra snuggle room and the hooded design makes me feel better that she’s completely covered after a bath. With cooler months coming, this is particularly important to me. While the towel is actually intended for Hazeline, Greenleigh doesn’t like to be left out, so she borrows it occasionally. This towel is a great size for her too, because unlike so many of our bath towels, this one doesn’t drag on the ground when she walks to her room after a bath. Greenleigh would much prefer to use it as a cape rather than a towel (even if it isn’t bath time), but she does tend to see the fun side in just about everything!
More importantly, it’s soft and thick unlike so many other flimsy towels we received as gifts. From the moment I took it out of the packaging, the quality was apparent. I have never have a problem getting it to soak up water after a bath; then just hang it up and it dries in no time.
Even better, it comes with a matching washcloth. How great is that? So many cute patterns to choose from, too. I think I have just found my new favorite gift for baby showers.
Of course, the only downside to having so many cute patterns is having to choose. I’m considering getting Greenleigh one of her very own, but I’m debating between this zebra print towel:
Which do you like best? I can’t choose!
Ohhh, I like the one with the red heart! Really cute! I just found your blog through Colie’s Kitchen!

I will have to look for these next time I’m out – I agree, a lot of baby towels seem to be the equivalent of 1-ply toilet paper. I know they have little bodies, but a towel should feel soft and comfy, not like sandpaper.
I like the one with heart! This was a helpful review. I have a little guy in the 95% as well. LOL! Visiting via Welcome Wednesday. I am your newest follower by email. I would love a follow back at http://aspiringnewmoms.blogspot.com
Polka dots get my vote! Man, now *I* want a hooded towel! 😀
Those are sooo cute! Wish I had a little girl.
Hooded towels are my favorite….especially on little fat babies!
