Four people, looking in the same direction, appearing happy, captured on camera – how hard can it be? Pretty difficult, actually. For nearly 6 months I have been trying to get that perfect family picture and falling very, very short. Let’s review the outtakes, shall we?
We first tried to get a family picture in the hospital. Flawed concept, really. Greenleigh was really excited to be at the hospital to begin with, plus I had been up for over 24 hours straight. This was the best we could get:
Not good. She wouldn’t even look at the camera and we ended up just giving up. We tried again in April, about 3 weeks after Hazeline was born:
Still no luck, but getting closer. And what is Greenleigh chewing on? Seriously, how hard can it be to get us all smiling and looking at a camera? Pretty hard. And it only got worse. This one was taken at the beginning of June:
Bottom right hand corner – that’s Greenleigh’s head. That was the closest I could get to having her in the picture. Awesome. And the problem continued.
Poor Greenleigh looks like she is being tortured here, but 3 out of 4 isn’t bad. Which brings us to this one:
We did eventually coax her into the picture, but it took a lot of work and animal noises. Don’t ask. Even then she still didn’t smile.
I should mention that this wasn’t a problem when we were a family of three:
See? Very possible. Just not when you add the fourth person.
That’s funny! Love Goofy! We lived in Orlando for six years and I miss visiting the Mickey and friends! Wait til they get to be teens, I’m not permitted to take any pictures of my 14 yr old!
Thanks for stopping by!
