I feel the need to document all of Everett’s milestones. Much more so than I did with either Greenleigh and Hazeline at his age. It might stem from watching his sisters grow so fast or the fact that he’s the last baby or my love for professional photo sessions…it’s hard to pinpoint, really, but I do feel the need to document his growth. To document him. So I knew that I wanted to get portraits taken when he turned 1. And I was sure that I found the right photographer when I found Stacy at Just to See You Smile with a little help from a friend.
Although the session was far from perfect – I forgot our second outfit, his shoes didn’t exactly fit, and Everett had a bit of a meltdown towards the very end causing us to cut the session a little short – one thing is certain, the pictures are absolutely perfect. They’re so perfect that I wanted to take a moment to share them with you.Because babies toddlers (wow, that’s going to take some getting used to) in sweaters? Seriously, does it get more adorable? I think not. I don’t know how often he’s actually going to be able to wear a sweater in South Florida, but wow is it cute.
And balloons. Oh, the balloon cuteness! Admittedly a Pinterest idea, but I’m so glad I did it.That red balloon was his best friend…until it popped. That was when the session started to go awry, but not before she captured a few pictures of him crawling. And showing off his newly found ability to stand.I only wish I had remembered to bring his Halloween costume with me to get some pictures of him all dressed up. But these pictures are so fun, that I almost forget all the little things that went “wrong”. And I love that I have these pictures to celebrate this milestone. He won’t be this little again (didn’t I just post his newborn pictures?).
I can’t believe my baby toddler is ONE!
