Pretty as a Princess with Anytime Costumes {Review}

Playing dress up is a mandatory part of our day now.  My girls love to strut their stuff in their crowns, tutus, boas, and most of all, their princess dresses.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – we are deeply entrenched in the “princess years”…and I’m okay with that.  And while we already have a ton of princess dresses, I’m always on the lookout for more to add to our collection (a girl has to have options, right?).  So when I got the chance to review one of the fabulous princess costumes from Anytime Costumes, I jumped at the chance.  And although they had tons of princess options available, I knew exactly which one to select – the Princess Belle costume.  Ever since Greenleigh got to meet Belle At Disney last September, Belle has been one of her favorite princesses.  I just knew this costume would be a hit.  

This yellow gown is regal in every way.  The sheer fabric overlay gives the dress depth, while tapered waist allows for the perfect fit. And the extra layering around the hips makes it the perfect ball gown.  The bodice is embellished with gold accents and adorned with a character cameo that sits atop a pink bow, so there’s no mistaking that it is Belle’s gown.

It comes in a child’s size small (4-6) and medium (6-8).  Since Greenleigh is currently wearing a 4T, I selected a small for her and it fit perfectly, with a bit of room to grow, which is exactly what every mom wants.  The dress is designed to fall somewhere around the knee, with gathers on the overlay being accented with tiny pink roses.  On Greenleigh, it fell closer to her calf, but I think that’s more because she’s on the smaller side for this costume.  Either way, it’s the perfect length because you don’t need to worry about your child tripping over a floor length dress that might end up being just a smidge too long for them.  

But what makes this dress truly special is its shine!  From the sequined overlay, to the glitter on the sleeves, and gold accents on the bodice, this dress shimmers from top to bottom.

There’s no way not to feel like a princess when wearing this dress – it’s just that pretty.  And a princess is exactly what Greenleigh felt like when she wore this to a birthday party earlier this month.  She spent the entire time skipping and twirling around the room…and even after a whole day of wear, it still looked perfect.  She got a ton of compliments on it too.  This is definitely one of our new favorite princess gowns in our dress up closet!
