Being 2 years old, Greenleigh is very into dolls. She loves them. Me, not so much. I find them a little creepy, especially the ones where the hair is actually painted on to their head. So imagine my dismay when I turned and looked over my shoulder to change lanes this morning and saw this staring back at me:
Okay, that picture wasn’t exactly taken at the exact moment when I realized the doll was in the car with me, but when I got to my office. The doll did however, stare at me the entire trip. Forty five long minutes in the car. Just ever so slightly out of reach so I couldn’t pull it out of the seat and put it down on the floor board where her dolls typically reside until she returns home from daycare.
On a positive note it appears that she tried to put the doll in the 5-point harness, so yea! for safety.
I totally can relate. My daughter, now 16, LOVED dolls, all types – Barbies, Bratz, little dollies, American Girl (don’t get me started) etc… When my husband (now ex) and I contemplated marriage, the deal cut was that HE had to play with our daughter and dolls (if that was in our cards) and I would be the Tonka truck/sports mom. I can’t even touch those dolls, EWWWWW.
Haha! I should have made that kind of agreement with Erajh – but maybe that the dolls only ride in his car? Not a bad idea.
Love it!! I’m sad that I don’t have the baby dolls around (though I see how that could get creepy), but Baylor makes me a little origami every morning with his duck lovey. “I made you something!!”
That is adorable Lauren! I’m really hoping that Hazeline ends up liking loveys and stuffed animals instead of dolls.
